COVID19 Guidelines for Bowling
1.Bowls equipment to be stored in Outside Plastic Chest (i)4 off Rubber Mats (ii)4 off Jacks (iii)8 off Rink Markers (iv)2 sets Rink Number
2.Bowls additional Health and Safety Equipment and Procedure (i)Hand Gel (ii)Wipes (iii)The Club will endeavour to supply these items, however it would be appreciated if members could use their own. (iv)Face masks are optional (supply your own if required) (v)2 METRE SOCIAL DISTANCING MUST BE KEPT (vi)The access gate to the bowls green will be opened by the Daily Manager and remain open during the daily bowls sessions (vii)CLEAN/SANITISE ALL OF THE EQUIPMENT USED, BEFORE AND AFTER THE BOWLS SESSIONS (viii)Please take your used wipes home for disposal and remember to wash your hands when you get home (ix)Clinically vulnerable people ( such as people aged 70 and over ) are advised to stay at home as much as possible, and if you do go out to play bowls, take particular care to minimise contact with others outside of your household. If you are living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection or if you are classified as extremely vulnerable on health grounds, the guidance is that you should remain at and exercise at home (x)No visitors/spectators are allowed at the green
3.Bowls Booking Arrangements (i)There will be 2 rinks made available for bowling every day of the week as from next MONDAY 18TH MAY (ii)Email or Telephone your Bookings to Margaret on 01223 276779 or [email protected] (iii)As from Friday 14th May, Players can pre-book a maximum of 1 daily slot every other day through to end of June (we will review this if it proves to be a problem) (iv)Booking Lists will be published every Sunday, both online and on the bowls green perimeter fence notice board(v)90 min playing slots :- 11.30 – 1.00, 1.00 – 2.30, 2.30 – 4.00, 4.00 -5.30, 5.30 – 7.00 (vi)Please arrive, ready to bowl, 10 minutes before your start time and leave asap after your game/practice session
4.Bowls Rink Set Up (Rubber Mats, Markers, etc ) (i)2 Rinks will be set up by the Day Manager and will be moved each day by ½ a rink to prevent undue wear on the green. 5.Bowls Format/Playing Arrangements (ii)Arrive no more than 10 minutes before your pre-booked start time, the WCCC clock to be used for timings. (iii)Come already changed for bowls, dress optional, bowls shoes must be worn. (iv)Remain in the carpark until your rink is ready, allowing others to leave the green. (v)The perimeter entrance gate to be left open (vi)Maximum of 2 players per rink, if from the different households then observe the 2 METRE SOCIAL DISTANCE when playing. (vii)Individual Bowls is okay (viii)Do not touch other players bowls, moving with feet is okay. (ix)The 2 rubber mats, one either end, will already be in position and MUST NOT BE MOVED during the game, slight alignment with feet is okay. (x)2 Jacks, one either end, and are to be positioned/centred with your feet and NOT CAST BY HAND. (xi)Avoid measuring for shot(s) (xii)The bowls collectors and scoreboards WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (xiii)Finish in good time, allowing at least 10 minutes to play the last end and leave the rink (xiv)Leave all rink equipment in place for the next players (xv)Please leave a.s.a.p., briefly socialising with others at the 2 METRE DISTANCE. (xvi)There are no toilet facilities at the green and the WCCC is closed. (xvii)Enjoy your bowling
6.Day Manager (i)Perimeter Gate to be unlocked and remain open all day (ii)Set up 2 rinks with lane markers, rink numbers, rubber mats and 2 jacks per rink, also 2 rubber mats to be positioned at either end of the rink (iii)Sanitise items in (ii) but not rubber mats which will be changed every day (iv)Put out the Hand Gel and Sanitiser for players to use if required (v)Move rink position at the close of play, by half a rink per day
7.Bowls Fee
(i)£1 per person per session payable to Roger AT THE END OF THE ‘’BOWLS SEASON’’ (ii)Margaret to record the details of your bookings
